U.S. Open: Fans sneak a peak at Winged Foot despite coronavirus restrictions

No fans have been allowed at PGA Tour events since the season was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. But that hasn’t stopped some fans in surrounding neighborhoods from showing up and cheering on their favorite stars.

At the U.S. Open, fans gathered to watch Justin Thomas, Tiger Woods and others on the fairways and difficult greens of Winged Foot Golf Club.

Once in a while, the screams and cheers of fans could even be heard during the broadcast, bringing back sweet memories of life before COVID-19.

Check out some of the best photos of fans sneaking a peak at the 120th U.S. Open at Winged Foot.
