As has been the case with so many other things in 2020, the opening round of the Masters saw new challenges — this time a pounding rainstorm and the threat of lightning.
Play was delayed on Thursday morning, and the pause is expected to last for at least an hour. With lightning swirling around the region, don’t be surprised if the delay last until the late morning.
Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player did get a chance to hit their opening tee shots, although the rain was already coming down in buckets. Check out some of the photos from Thursday morning at Augusta National.
