And maybe now, the PGA Tour has finally settled into a happy place when it comes to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which have officially ended the season for more than a decade now.
Down to three events from four, and with a different scoring system in place, prize money has consistently risen for the playoffs, and the winner now takes home a hefty $15 million check.
Adjustments have coincided with significant changes to the schedule, meaning a rush to cram the playoff in before (or on) Labor Day to escape the looming shadows of the NFL, MLB and college football.
