Photos: The transformation of Bryson DeChambeau — from SMU star to U.S. Open contender

Bryson DeChambeau’s body transformation has been well-documented.

DeChambeau has looked more linebacker than linksman since the return to golf in Fort Worth, Texas, this spring.

DeChambeau has added about 40 total pounds of muscle after following the training regimen of Greg Roskopf. It’s called Muscle Activation Technique and it is re-making DeChambeau’s 6-foot-1-inch frame to protect himself against future injury.

The results have been impressive. The former Southern Methodist star has built upon his new foundation, capturing the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit and finished T-4 in the PGA Championship.

Here’s a look at DeChambeau’s progression from skinny college kid to PGA Tour star.
